Upload a new license file

This procedure describes the implementation methodology of Newtest license solution. The license is effective directly on the NMC but you have to wait about 40 minutes (time for synchronization) to get the license effective on Newtest Reporting.

    For NEP V2.2.1 and later

From NEP V2.2.1 and on, you could upload directly your license zip via NMC interface. Of course, the old method is still valid if you prefer uploading manually your license.

    1. Connect to your NMC interface and login with your account.
    2. Goto tab "System" -> "License" and click on "Upload".
    3. Click on "Browse" on the popup upload window and choose your license zip file.

If you see an orange message "Trial version valid until 01/01/0001", you may first try clicking on "Reload". If this message is still on, please check Upload license errors for more information.

For old NEP versions before V2.2.1

You may find the following two *.ini files in the license zip :

    • Newtacc.ini: it contains the license for Newtest NMC and Reporting.
    • ProbeRights.ini file: it contains the file description of your robot licenses.

Simplified procedure (which should work in most cases)

    1. Replace the files Probesrights.ini and Newtacc.ini by the files provided by the support in the directory  called "<Newtest_installation>\EXE" on the server.
    2. Log on locally to the NMC server and launch the management interface of Windows services (Start Menu -> Programs -> Administrative Tools -> Windows Service). Manually restart the service called "Newtest Server"
    3. Run the following command in a Windows command prompt: iisreset
