How to change the windows account used for NRS ?

Update the account in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)

The first step is to check if the user selected has Administrator rights.

So, launch SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), connect to Analysis Services and go to Databses > Newtest Reporting > Roles and right click on Newtest. Select the Membership tab.

Here, you will be able to remove the default account and add the domain account you need to use.

Then, instead of connecting to Analysis Services, connect to the Database Engine and check if your account is present in the Security > Logins folder.

This first step may not be necessary if you are using a local admin account.

Update the account in 'rsreportserver.config' file

Then, you will have to launch 'Reporting Services Configuration Manager' and Stop the current Report Server.

Then, use a File Explorer to navigate to C: / Program Files(x86) / Microsoft SQL Server / [Instance Name] / Reporting Services > ReportServer.

Create a backup for the 'rsreportserver.config' file because we will modify it.

Inside this file, look for the [Security] area and update the 'username' value with the account you choosed previously.

Then, you can restart the current Report Server.

Update the account in SQL Server Reporting Services

For the next step, you will have to navigate to the SQL Server Reporting Services through http://localhost/reports.
Select Newtest > Datasources and update the user filled in both datasources.

The final step consists in navigating to https://localhost/NRS to display a report like Dashboard Overview to check if the cube is working.
